The participation of UAE libraries in the Arabic Union Catalog and the cooperation of the Deanship of University Libraries at the UAE University resulted in the launch of this portal, which serves as a unified national index that limits the holdings of UAE libraries in one base, identifies the location of these holdings and facilitates the search for information. What distinguishes this portal is that it is part of a large Arab project with more than four thousand Arab libraries and is supervised by a specialized center that develops information management tools and practices based on international rules and practices. This cultural achievement falls within this Arab cultural system, which has achieved remarkable success and distinguished service to our Arab and Islamic culture. In order to complete the inventory of all the holdings of the UAE libraries, it is essential that libraries that are not members of the index enter the Arabic Union Catalog. It is hoped that this portal will help researchers and researchers access and benefit from the treasures of knowledge contained in libraries in the United Arab Emirates.
