The 8th Meeting of the Arabic Union Catalog (AUC) members was held at the National Library of Kuwait, from Nov. 20 to Nov. 22, 2017. The meeting came this year under the theme of "Towards an Effective Access to Information for a Successful Sustainable Development".

The meeting witnessed a strong presence of various organizations from all over the Arab World.

During the inauguration of this meeting, the Union Arabic Digital Library (UADL) has been launched.

The UADL is expected to be one of the Sustainable Development resources in the Arab World. On the sidelines of this meeting, four training courses in RDA rules and managing the digital content were held from Nov. 19 to Nov. 20, 2017, as well as an exhibition to distribute the latest AUC publications.
